Text Tool

Add beautiful text to your drawings with rich formatting, multiple fonts, and professional styling options.

How to Use the Text Tool

  1. Click Where You Want Text

    Select the text tool, then click anywhere on your canvas where you'd like to add text. A cursor will appear, ready for you to type.

  2. Type Your Message

    Start typing your text. Want multiple lines? Just press Shift + Enter to move to a new line without finishing the text.

  3. Change the Look

    Use the toolbar to customize your text! Make it bold with B, italic with I, add underlines, change colors, pick different fonts, adjust the size, or align it just right.

  4. Finish and Create More

    Press Enter when you're done, or click elsewhere to add more text. Your text becomes part of your drawing and can be edited later by double-clicking it.

Available Fonts

The text tool automatically loads online fonts when connected to the internet and detects fonts installed on your computer.

Choose from preset sizes (8-144pt) in the dropdown, or use the number input for any custom size between 6-200pt.

Edit Existing Text

Double-click any text you've created to edit it again. Fix typos, change the message, or update formatting.

Grid Snapping

When snap-to-grid is enabled, your text placement aligns perfectly with the grid for neat, organized layouts.

Smart Font Loading

Automatically loads web fonts when online (Poppins, Lexend, Patrick Hand, Kermit) and detects fonts installed on your computer.

Rich Text Support

Mix different formatting within the same text block - combine bold, italic, superscripts, and subscripts as needed.

Keyboard Shortcuts

New line (same text block): Shift + Enter
Finish text: Enter
Cancel text editing: Esc
Delete character: Backspace
Edit existing text: Double-click the text
