File Formats
Your drawings are saved in different formats depending on your needs:
Vector graphics that stay sharp at any size. Perfect for editing later and used by device downloads and cloud storage.
Browser storage uses JSON format to save all your drawing information for perfect restoration, including embedded SVG data.
Google Drive and OneDrive store SVG files that can be opened in any compatible application.
Pro Tips!
• Choose the right method: Use Browser save for quick work, Cloud for important projects, Device for offline access
• Name smartly: Include the date in your filename like "Butterfly_2024_01_15"
• Save often: Remember to save your work regularly to avoid losing progress
• Multiple versions: Save different versions like "Dragon_v1", "Dragon_v2" to track progress
• Storage limits: Browser storage can hold approximately 50 drawings before older ones may need to be removed
Important!
• Browser saves are device-specific - they won't synchronise between devices
• Cloud saves require internet connection and account sign-in
• Device downloads usually go to your Downloads folder
• Clearing browser data will remove browser-saved drawings
• Maximum filename length is 100 characters

Common Questions
Which save method should I use?
Use Browser save for quick work and testing. Use Cloud storage (Google Drive/OneDrive) for important projects you want to keep long-term. Use Device download when you need the file for other applications.
Where did my drawing save to?
Browser saves stay in your current browser's local storage. Cloud saves go to the "MyDrawings" folder in your chosen service. Device saves usually go to your Downloads folder.
Can I change the filename after saving?
Yes! You can rename files in your cloud storage or file manager. For browser saves, save again with a new name.
Can I save without internet?
Yes! Use Browser save or Device download to save locally. Cloud saves need internet connection.
How much can I save?
Browser storage can hold approximately 50 drawings (maximum 2MB total storage). Cloud services offer gigabytes of free storage. SVG drawings are tiny (usually under 100KB), so you can save thousands!
What characters are allowed in filenames?
Filenames can contain letters, numbers, spaces, hyphens, underscores, parentheses, and full stops. Special characters like <>:"/\|?* are automatically removed for security. Maximum length is 100 characters.
What happens if browser storage is full?
If you reach the 50 drawing limit, you'll need to delete older drawings or export them to your device before saving new ones. You can always download drawings from browser storage to keep them permanently.
Are my drawings secure?
Browser-saved drawings are stored locally on your device. Cloud-saved drawings use the security measures provided by Google Drive or OneDrive. All saved content is sanitised to prevent security issues.
