The Print Tool opens a simple window where you pick paper size (A5, A4, A3, A2), orientation (landscape/portrait),
margins (0–25 mm), and whether to include the grid. It then creates a clean copy of your drawing and opens your browser's print dialogue.
How to print
Click Print on the toolbar to open Print Settings.
Select Paper Size (A5, A4, A3, or A2) and Orientation (landscape or portrait). The page dimensions text updates as you change options.
Choose Margins (0–25 mm) and whether to Include grid in the printout.
Click Print. Your browser's print window opens (you can pick a printer or select "Save as PDF").
What gets printed
Your artwork from the drawing layer, with gradients, patterns, markers, and filters preserved by copying
<defs> with unique IDs.Background colour matches the workspace background so you don't get an unwanted transparent page.
Optional grid if you tick "Include grid" in settings.
Scaled to fit and centred within your chosen paper and margins.
Tip: If the Print Preview box is visible, the tool uses that rectangle as the print area. Otherwise it fits to your artwork's bounds or the visible viewport.
Note: Some home printers can't print to the very edge of the paper. Use a small margin if your printer trims the sides.
